Biographie

Gilles Lavigne, D.M.D et M.Sc. (Université de Montréal), Ph. D. (Université de Toronto).  Il a obtenu un diplôme en médecine buccale, de l’Université Georgetown, Washington et il est un Fellow du Collège Royal des Dentistes du Canada.  Il a complété des études postdoctorales au NIH Bethesda sur la neurobiologie de la douleur.  En avril 2009, Gilles Lavigne a reçu un doctorat honoris causa de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université de Zurich.

Dr Lavigne est reconnu internationalement  pour son expérience et ses recherches cliniques sur le bruxisme pendant le sommeil et l’interaction entre le sommeil, la douleur et les problèmes de ronflements.

Interactions douleur et sommeil: études électrophysiologiques et cliniques Bruxisme nocturne et mouvements orofaciaux anormaux Évaluation de certains modes thérapeutiques fréquemment utilisés dans le traitement de la douleur myofasciale trigéminale.
